bronwen seaward - principal - Teacher Kererū

Kia ora, talofa lava, greetings
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our school and also extend a special welcome to new students, parents and families who have started, or will start with us this year.
As many of you will be aware I am new to Windwhistle School and am looking forward to getting to know the local community over the next few weeks and months. I have been teaching in the Malvern and wider Selwyn Districts for the last 13 years most recently with 9 years at Darfield High School and the last 2 years at West Melton School. I love teaching and am passionate about helping children reach their potential as learners and young people. I am excited about being your Principal and look forward to working alongside you and your children.
It has been wonderful to see the vitality in our learners as they arrive and leave each day with happy smiles on their faces. They are keen to share their happenings from the holidays, catch up with friends and welcome our new students (and staff). I have been very impressed with the children's determination and resilience as they embrace the challenges the new year brings. Jane, Kathy and I are looking forward to working alongside you and your children throughout the year ahead.
