Dear Parents,

Ferrymead trip: is TOMORROW!!!!!! Yiphee! Don’t forget that your child/ren need to be at school at 8.30am. The bus WILL LEAVE AT 8.40am and cannot wait for anyone who is late. We have a very exciting, full day ahead of us! By now, you should have also made your own arrangements for how your child/ren gets home tomorrow afternoon – remember, there will be NO primary school bus runs. We expect the bus to arrive back at school at around 3.15pm depending on traffic. Please ensure you collect your child/ren promptly.

Windwhistle Warm-Up: on Friday was lots of fun! Thank you to everyone who came along – a great way to kick off the new school year.

Room 2 certificates: Congratulations to Ben, Lianna & Hattie for showing a caring attitude towards others. It’s great to see our school values in action! Well done to Hattie who was awarded a second certificate for excellent work in reading.

Working Bee: A HUGE thank you to everyone who came and helped us with the working bee on Friday 5 February. It was a very hot afternoon and we appreciate your hard work. The grounds are looking much tidier for it. Lost any tools…? We have a spade that was left behind after the working bee. It’s in the office, so please come and collect it, if it’s yours!

Room 1: Congratulations to this weeks certificate winners, Ruby, Joe, Lachlan for reading and Oliver for showing excellent leadership skills.

Lunchboxes: some of the children are having too much in their lunchboxes and are missing out on their playtime because they feel they need to eat it. One sandwich is ample with their fruit and a snack item. Please no lollies at school. Cheers Jane.

School Accounts: have been sent home with this newsletter. Your invoice includes a start of year stationery pack which contains all work books and basic stationery your child needs for the year. Items required additionally by your child are charged separately on this invoice and additional items used during the year will be charged in December.
There is a transport contribution charge for each child which has been set at $20 for this year. This will be distributed to any parents helping with transport proportionately to the amount of Kms they drive throughout the year. Some of you will have a smaller charge or no charge at all because you did your share or more than your share of transport last year and therefore you are in credit.

Public Notice: Children’s Rugby Sports Registration is on 21st Feb at Hororata Domain 1pm - 3.
