Newsletter 1, Term 1- Week 1
Dear Parents,
Welcome to another year at Windwhistle School! We hope you have enjoyed your summer! We are all set for an exciting Term 1 – lots planned, including swimming and trips!
Phone list: attached with this newsletter are the phone list and phone tree for 2010. Please check your phone numbers are correct and contact Lucy in the office as soon as possible if there are any changes to be made.
Stationery: has been allocated to each child. Invoices will be sent home next week for this stationery.
Swimming: Many thanks to Mel & Reece for doing such a good job of looking after our swimming pool over the holidays. Thank you to everyone who helped out with testing too. Please ensure your child has their togs at school every day until further notice.
Vandalism: Unfortunately, over the summer holidays, we have had our high jump mat ruined by somebody throwing it into the pool. It is now not safe to be used and will have to be thrown away. High jump mats cost between $1000 and $6000, money we obviously have not budgeted and cannot afford to spend on a single item. Our total PE budget for 2010 is only $700. We would like to hear from anyone who has information about this act of vandalism. This information will be treated in the strictest of confidence. Pool Key Holders are required by contract to respect Windwhistle School property and those who do not, will be asked to forfeit their pool key.
Start of Year Parent meetings: are available upon request. If you have anything you wish to discuss with your child’s class teacher, please contact her to arrange an appointment.
